Fire & Smoke
A fire can be devastating to an insured,
ranging from a total loss of equipment to light smoke damage.
After examining fire- or smoke-damaged equipment, you may
be tempted to simply replace it, but DON'T.
It costs $200 - $300 to clean the average
computer, and up to $4000 to replace it. And unless the item
is actually melted, there is a good chance that it can be
cleaned and repaired by our on-site restoration unit and put
back into service for just a fraction of the cost of replacing
it. We recently saved a major insurance carrier over $60,000
by restoring 36 Dell computer systems and network equipment
at a school after a fire.
But, of course, if the equipment did
actually melt or is beyond repair, we can tell you what the
correct replacement is. This is often different then what
the insured or their vendor says.
Either way, your liability is only a fraction
of the replacement cost!
